Luxair Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Losing Wheel

Luxembourg, Luxembourg (AHN) - An aircraft from Luxembourg flag carrier Luxair made an emergency landing in southern Germany after losing one of its undercarriage wheels.

According to Luxair, "The landing occurred without problems."

The Embraer 145 plane, carrying 21 passengers and four crew members, lost one of its two front wheels during the Sarrebruecken-Munich leg of a flight originating out of Luxembourg on Monday evening.

The company explains, "The reasons for the loss of the wheel are unknown at the moment," adding that an investigation was underway with the Brazilian makers of the plane to find out what caused the problem.
