British Police Arrest Man In Connection With Model's Murder
Yvonne Lee - All Headline News Staff Reporter London, England (AHN) - British police arrest a man in connection with the murder of teenage model Sally Anne Bowman, last September. She had turned 18 just a week before she was sexually assaulted and stabbed to death near her home in south London. The 35-year-old suspect was arrested in Surrey and taken to a police station for questioning. Police arrested four suspects last September, but they were released without being charged. DNA linked the new suspect to an indecent assault in July 2001. The victim of that crime gave a description of the attacker, and police released it six months after Bowman's death. The night of the attack, Bowman was out in Croydon. Neighbors heard her screaming early on Sunday. Her body was later found on the pavement.
