Slovenian President Collapsed In A Ceremony
Som Patidar - All Headline News Staff Writer Ljubljana, Slovenia (AHN) - Slovenia's President Janez Drnovsek collapsed duing an official ceremony on Saturday, but later his spokeswoman informed that he was recovered and healthy. Janez Drnovsek, 56, who has been suffering with cancer, collapsed while standing in the front row at an open-air ceremony organized for celebrating the 15th anniversary of the country's independence from the former Yugoslavia in Republic Square, where the temperature was around 27 degree Celsius. According to a news agency, the president said in an interview last year that he decided to abandon treatment after realizing that neither traditional nor alternative medicine could cure him. "For me, the disease simply doesn't exist anymore," he told a reporter in an interview. Janez Drnovsek was elected Slovenia's president in 2002.
