Teen Torches Home Over Bad Grades

Tokyo Japan (AHN) - A Japanese teen torched his home, killing his stepmother and two younger siblings. He told police he didn't want his parents to find out he lied about an English test grade.

According to Reuters, media reports on Saturday said the teen is thought to have left his stepmother, seven-year-old brother and five-year-old sister in his Nara home to die.

The 16-year-old boy's name has not been released but he told police his father had put enormous pressure on him to get good grades. His parents had a meeting about his test results the same day.
