Police Officer Kills Man Who Confessed To Crime

Lahore, Pakistan (AHN) - An officer killed a man, who confessed to murdering his own three daughters.

Mohammed Ashraf, 38, confessed that he had used a knife to cut the throats of his three daughters, who were 3 years old, 5 years old and 9 years old.

Senior police investigator Amir Zulifquar said, "as I left the police station after questioning Mohammed Ashraf, one of my guards opened fire and killed him."

Mohammed Nadeem was identified as the officer that killed Ashraf. He was then taken into custody.

Nadeem was quoted as saying, "a person who kills innocent children deserves no mercy."

Ashraf had stated that he killed his daughters because of poverty.

Nadeem now faces a court hearing to determine if he should be charged with a crime or not.
