Som Patidar - All Headline News Contributor Moscow, Russia (AHN) - According to an opinion poll conducted by the Yuri Levada Analytical Centre, fifty-nine percent of Russians want a change in the constitution to keep president Vladimir Putin in office beyond 2008, when his second successive term expires. Only 29 percent of those polled opposed the idea of a third term for Putin and 32 percent believe he will keep his word and not run for the presidency. Meanwhile, Russian lower house speaker Boris Gryzlov stated Putin might be theoretically elected president for a third term, but not in 2008, as this would violate the constitution.
