Israeli Airstrike Kills Top Hamas Enforcer
Yvonne Lee - All Headline News Staff Reporter Rafah, Gaza Strip (AHN) - An Israeli airstrike on Thursday killed a top Hamas enforcer accused of launching rocket attacks against Israel. The Associated Press reports the strike was against the Popular Resistance Committees training camp in the Gaza town of Rafah. The Israeli military tells the AP that militants at the camp were planning a significant attack on Israel. When asked by the AP if Abu Samhadana was the target, the military responded, "the camp was the target." Samhadana is the No. 2 man on Israel's most wanted list. Palestinian hospital officials say his body was incinerated, but his face was identifiable. The airstrike killed three people and wounded ten others. The ten missiles fired at the camp cut off electricity, making rescue efforts difficult.
