Bomb Attacks Continue in Baghdad
Richard Rittierodt - All Headline News Contributor Baghdad, Iraq (AHN) - Roughly 19 people were killed and about 50 people were wounded from bomb attacks on Thursday in Baghdad. The first bomb attack was targeting a police patrol. Six people, including two police officers, were killed in the attack and 11 others were wounded. About an hour later, the second bomb attack happened shortly after the Iraq Prime Minister and U.S. officials confirmed that terrorist mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had been killed. The second bomb struck a fruit market in the same area as the first bomb attack. According to police Col. Ahmed Abod, 13 people were killed and 39 others were wounded in the second attack.
