Over 1,000 Homes Flooded In Southern Poland
Joanna Wypior - All Headline News Staff Reporter Krakow, Poland (AHN) - Over 1,000 homes in the south-eastern region of Poland have been flooded after a recent downpour of rain raised the level of local rivers, making many roads impassable. The Associated Press reports that towns close to the Polish-Ukrainian border have been hit with the hardest floods, as local firefighters were trying to secure the banks of the Wisloka River to prevent further damage. Additional reports indicate the flooding swept away several small bridges and 340 people had been evacuated since Sunday.
