Saudi Arabia To Deny Pilgrimage Visas Under 40
Nidhi Sharma - All Headline News Contributor Riyadh, UAE (AHN) - To check a rise in illegal immigrants, Saudi Arabia will not issue Umrah visas to those under 40 years of age who come alone on the pilgrimage. The country will also not issue the visas if the person is alone as many who visit the kingdom alone after being granted visas for Umrah or mini Haj overstay in Saudi Arabia. Adil Balkhair, assistant deputy minister for Umrah affairs told Press Trust of India, that the decision was taken after a continuous study of figures and as a result of Umrah regulations over the past years. Those under 40 years can come with their families or with organized legal groups.
