Nidhi Sharma - All Headline News Contributor Seoul, South Korea (AHN) - Five South Koreans have been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen from a Niger Delta oil field. The five included three employees of South Korea's Daewoo Engineering Construction and two employees of the Korea Gas Corp. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the abduction and no ransom has been demanded. The AFP news agency reports one Nigerian worker was also abducted but nine other Koreans working on the oil field managed to escape the kidnappers. The attackers were armed with rocket launchers as they approached the oil rig near Port Harcourt by boat. Six Daewoo boats were destroyed in the attack. The attack occurred a day after Nigeria's Petroleum Minister Edmund Daukoru left South Korea. He was there to discuss the potential sale of oil exploration contracts in Nigeria to South Korean firms.
