Landless Brazilian Farmers Break Into Parliament Building

BBC News reports about 20 people were reportedly injured after activists clashed with police. The protestors are demanding agricultural reform. President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva had pledged to help farm workers get land. The group said they broke into the building to demand a quicker reform process. They made their way into an annex of the lower house of Brazil's parliament in Brasilia. The protestors used sticks and farm tools to smash doors and windows, and overturn a car. Police arrested several protest leaders following the violence.
