Severed Heads Found in Fruit Baskets
Richard Rittierodt - All Headline News Contributor Baghdad, Iraq (AHN) - For the second time in about a week, Iraqi police found some severed heads in fruit baskets. The nine heads, all belonging to men, were found near a highway in the village of Hadid, which is about 35 miles northeast of Baghdad. According to the Joint Cooperation Center, which is run by both Iraqi and U.S. forces, the heads were taken to the city morgue and an investigation is underway about the incident. This all follows when Iraqi police found eight severed heads on Saturday in the village. They also found a note on Saturday that stated that at least one of the men had been killed in retaliation for the murder of four Shiite doctors and a former governor.
