Iraq Rejects U.S. Report Exonerating Ishaqi Raid
Matthew Borghese - All Headline News Staff Writer Baghdad, Iraq (AHN) - Iraqi leaders are vowing to continue the investigation of a U.S.-led raid on the town of Ishaqi, after an American military probe found no evidence of wrongdoing. According to the office of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, "We have from more than one source that the Ishaqi killings were carried out under questionable circumstances. More than one child was killed. This report was not fair for the Iraqi people and the children who were killed." However, the U.S. military now says the allegations that American troops "executed a family ... and then hid the alleged crimes by directing an air strike, are absolutely false."
