Iran To Resume Talks, If U.S. Changes Attitude
Nji Che - All Headline News Contributor Putrajaya, Malaysia (AHN) - The Iranian Foreign Minister announced on Tuesday his country was ready to resume direct nuclear negotiations with the United States if it changed its attitude. Manouchehr Mottaki told reporters at a news conference, "For the time being, we have suspended direct talks. After a change of their behavior we may consider again." Mottaki made the statement in Malaysia after attending a meeting of non-aligned powers. He says Tehran was set for non-conditional talks with other nations. The 114 non-aligned states voiced their support for Iran in its nuclear standoff with the west. They also warned against any U.S. strikes on Iran. However, they urged Iran to resume talks.
