Five Killed, 33 Injured In Baghdad Market Bombing

Baghdad, Iraq (AHN) - Five people were killed and 33 others wounded when a car bomb exploded in a busy popular market in central Baghdad on Friday. "An explosive-packed car went off in Souq al-Jumaa open market in Nahdha area, an open market usually crowded on Friday weekend holiday in Iraq, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua news service. The explosion occurred at 10 a.m. in the Nahda area, a time when the market, where old furniture, household goods and appliances are sold, was especially busy during the start of the Islamic weekend.
