Ten Shot Dead In Northern Uganda

Uganda (AHN) - Ten people were shot dead in northern Uganda by a refugee camp guard. An army spokesman says the attack was carried out by a local militiaman.

The man reportedly shot his victims following an argument surrounding a woman.

Ogwete, in the Lira district, is home to about 1.5 million people who have fled attacks by the Lord's Resistance Army.

Army spokesman Lieutenant Deo Akiki says the shooter is on the run and faces a court martial and possible death sentence if caught.
