Killer Mother Is Mentally Fit To Face Criminal Charges

Frankfurt an der Oder, Germany (AHN) – A 40-year-old German woman Sabine Hilschinz, accused of killing nine of her newborn babies is mentally fit to face criminal charges, according to a psychiatrist report.

Matthias Lammel, a court-appointed psychiatrist confirmed her mental wellness but has not refused any possibility of a personality disorder.

Hilschinz has told investigators that, in most of the cases, she was drunk when she went into labor and could not remember the births, according to the report.

AP notes that police arrested her after discovering the remains of the nine infants last July buried in flowerpots and a fish tank in the garden of her parents' home in a village near the Polish border.
