Bombers Attack in Iraq

Baghdad, Iraq (AHN) - It's a time of change and renewed violence in iraq. Suicide bombers detonated explosives inside a crowded baghdad restaurant popular with police officers, killing at least 13 people.

Police say three police officers are among the dead. Another 17 people were injured. Five other iraqis were killed and dozens wounded in other violence on Sunday. In one of the incidents, two roadside bombs exploded in a crowded fruit market in a mixed shiite, Sunni Arab and Christian area of Baghdad. Police found the first bomb and detonated it, but a second bomb exploded a moment later, killing three civilians and wounding 23.

The attacks happened as Iraq's new government met for the first time.
