Baghdad, Iraq (AHN) - Ten Iraqis were killed and 26 others were injured from roadside bombs and other attacks on Friday. Five of the deaths reportedly resulted from a gunbattle between suspected insurgents and Iraqi police. According to police Lt. Maitham Abdul-Razzaq, the United States forces helped police seal off the area after the fighting. A U.S. soldier was also wounded by a roadside bomb as he was riding through Baghdad in a minesweeper. Meanwhile, kidnappers released United Arab Emirates diplomat Naji Rashid al-Nuaimi, who had been abducted earlier this week. His brother, Mohammed al-Nuaimi, said, "The officials just told us that he was released and he was on his way to the embassy." The brother also stated that Naji would be flying back to the Emirates later on Friday.
