(AHN) - Former Indonesian president Suharto is in "serious condition" at a hospital. BBC News reports the 84-year-old has suffered several strokes since leaving office in 1998. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono visited him at the hospital, saying it was his "moral duty." He says, "I have done the same for all senior government officials, including former presidents and vice presidents, when they were sick... And he is seriously ill." Suharto left office amid major protests. He was accused of embezzling $600 million during his 30 years as leader of the southeast Asian country.
