India Ready To Fire Intermediate-Range Ballistic Missile

New Delhi, India (AHN)-- India's intermediate-range ballistic missile Agni-II which is capable of hitting targets more than 4000 km away is ready to be launched. Press Trust of India reports that M Natarajan, the country's top defense scientist said, "We are technically ready for the test-firing of the missile." Mr. Natarajan who is a scientific advisor to the defense minister stated, "We are awaiting a nod from the government." The nuclear capable surface-based missile with solid and liquid propellant has not been fired and tests have been put off since November 2004.
